Born in the historic city of Nagasaki and having lived in the U.S. during my high school years, I developed a unique “outsider’s eye” for my own country. After a career in American investment banking and the publishing industry in Tokyo, I spent years writing about the Japanese music scene while raising my family.
Growing up with stories of global travels from my father—a ship designer who explored the world, including Africa—I’ve always been a traveler at heart. But it was only by looking at Japan from the outside that I truly realized how special and precious our daily traditions are. Now, as I embark on this new chapter, I want to share these insights with you. Based in the Kanto region with family roots in Fukuoka, I bring you stories that blend urban sophistication with local warmth.

나가사키에서 태어나 미국 유학을 거쳐 도쿄에서 금융 및 편집 전문가로 활동했습니다. 오랫동안 일본 음악 블로그를 운영하며 콘텐츠 전문가로서 소통해 왔습니다. 선박 설계사였던 아버지를 통해 어린 시절부터 세계의 이야기를 듣고 자랐으며, 저 또한 다양한 국가를 여행하며 견문을 넓혔습니다.
하지만 역설적이게도 해외에서의 경험은 제가 나고 자란 일본을 새로운 시각으로 바라보게 해주었습니다. 평범해 보이던 일상이 얼마나 특별한 문화적 가치를 지녔는지 깨달았고, 이제 그 이야기를 여러분과 나누고자 합니다. 현재 관동 지역에 거주하며 본가가 있는 후쿠오카를 비롯해 일본 전역의 아름다운 지역성을 소개합니다.
